Training & development

Ofsted described us as having an ‘excellent staff training programme’.

We’re not surprised, because we provide this from day one. We have a thorough mentoring and induction programme which lasts the whole six months of your probation. We pay for everything to get you started: the DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check, safeguarding training, paediatric first aid and Level 2 Food Hygiene and much more.

Once you’re fully inducted, we offer fantastic training opportunities – we have everyone from apprentice Level 2s to an MA, and everything in between.

We provide a wide range of training both in-house and externally, online and face-to-face from a wide range of sector experts.

And we run three Inset-style training days a year, for which you get paid overtime or time off in lieu.

I’ve never met a more supportive employer than Teepee. Kamila, Early Years Practitioner

Career progression

Even though we are small, there are plenty of opportunities for career progression.

You pick the pathway that is right for you. This might be a more managerial position, or you might like to take on additional responsibility in an area that interests you.

You can follow specialisms of your choice, such as coaching and mentoring, Forest School Leader, Early Maths, Early Literacy, Special Educational Needs & Disabilities, or Child Protection.

If you join us, we hope you’ll stay a long time. But whatever the case, experience gained at Teepee Day Nursery Bracknell gives you an excellent CV.

Besides the experience and training given, Teepee comes with a fantastic reputation:

  • Triple Ofsted ‘Outstanding’
  • Investors in People Gold Award
  • NDNA Quality Counts Platinum Award
  • Woodland Trust Silver Award
  • Forest School provider
